Because we know what waiting feels like.

Our Story

In January of 2026, I sat beside my best friend, my sister in A&E for over 10 hours after she attempted to take her own life. Feeling like we were waiting to be saved, we were told there was nothing more hospital staff could do until she could see a psychiatrist.

That moment stayed with me.

Observing her stuck between crisis and treatment with no safe space, I realised there are thousands stuck between this very place. Services are overwhelmed, appointments are limited and nights feel impossibly long.

Serene was created to help fill that space.

The background behind Serene

We're not here to follow trends— Serene is centred around lived experience and psychological knowledge without the expensive price tag and waiting times.

Serene was created on the belief that looking after your mind should be as natural as looking after your body, creating a space that suggests the most important step isn’t fixing everything, it is knowing you aren’t facing it alone.

A place to feel heard.

A supportive community where nobody has to struggle alone.

Evidence-based wellbeing.

Practical tools inspired by psychology to help you through the hardest of moments.

Support anytime.

Because mental health doesn’t work 9-5.

Our Promise

Serene isn’t here to replace therapy or emergency services.

It’s here for the hours in between, the moments when you need someone to listen, to feel what you feel, to empathise, the evenings when everywhere else has closed their doors, the days waiting feels impossible.
